Drupal 4.7.x

I am sad to see that the "mail" module will not be upgraded for 4.7. The great thing about that module was that you could send emails to specified roles. Unless I'm missing something, the suggested replacement, the "send" module doesn't have this functionality nor does the "newsletter" module.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to send email to all users in a role using an existing third party module?

just installed 4.7 and im recieving errors on a /user page...

warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/technologyvoices/modules/user.module on line 1317.

line 1317 of the user.module is:

foreach ($items as $item) {

within the function: function user_view($uid = 0) {

any ideas?

Are there any plans to integrate auto-complete feature for textareas?

What I mean is auto-complete word by word while typing content to
textareas (when editing/creating nodes). I know that auto-complete is
already available for textfields in the core. What other possibility do I
have to add this feature. Any AJAX-framework supporting this?

I have ecomm and the images module installed but the images are not showing up.

I'm pretty sure the error is a CSS error as I see that the path is correct and the file is infact there. However, being very new to Drupal I am not sure where to look to edit and fix this issue.

Just added the Event Module [ for v4.7 ] and also Flexinode [ for v4.7 ]. Did all the necessary stuff, got it up and running at:

Just click on the gigs page menu item top right.

Two things:

1. It defaults to an initial Calendar Month View, each day in the month with its own small cell. The only way you know a date is occupied is its a different colour.

Brand new Drupal user here and loving it.

However I have one quick question.

On the Books module main page (http://site.com/drupal/?q=book), it currently displays:

books
- first book title
- second book title
- third book title

And what I would like is to display the title and the excerpt as they are displayed on the home page. Something like:
