issue with date format

Hi - I would like my dates to show as:

May 21, 2007

right now they show as:

05/21/2007
see here:
http://www.centernetworks.com/rootly-relaunches-new-ui-new-features-a-re...

I went into the admin settings under date settings and all are set as I want it but still show the incorrect style.

Short/Medium show:
May 21, 2007 2:19am

Long shows:
Tuesday May 21, 2007 2:19am

Any ideas on how to fix?

Lost/Missing Main Menu

OK. All of a sudden, I have lost all menu's and other items from the left bar of my site. Navigation, main menu, other items that are in the left block there.... gone. I have not added any new modules or changed my theme in anyway. Just added new blogs.

Best part, the menu shows up on most other pages, except the main page (node/frontpage) and the create content page. Its really weird. If I go to domain/user, I get to login, and the menu/items appear on the left. If I am viewing a blog/content, then the menu appears. As soon as I go home, or create content, its gone.

unable to upload file to server

Hi all,

I had moved my site from one hosting account to another and now i am getting a message as follows: "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access upload/js on this server...." Does anyone know the cause of this and how to change the server settings to allow me to upload the files. Thanks.

How do I prevent the display of unneeded fields during /node/add/...?

The Users on my site are experts on nature and the environment; however, their computer experience is limited to sending and receiving email. It is important to keep things simple. For instance, do not display extraneous fields during content data entry.

I understand how to edit the fields in "views"; however, the only content listed there is the custom content. How do I prevent the display of unneeded fields during /node/add/...?

Example: the janode.module.
/node/add/janode

Is there some issue around drupal views?

I have created a view for url 'iblog/recent/$arg' to show the recent blogs where $arg will pass the term id to the view.

First time when i created this view it was working fine.
but whenever i submit a content & after that if i try to access view 'iblog/recent/34', i get page not found error message.

Workaround: then i have to go to administer-> views and edit & save any view again. This will solve the problem & again all the views with $arg in it will start working normally.

Problem seems to be related to caching.

Mediatemple - New issues with all my sites

My host (mediatemple) has recently upgraded its php version and it is now affecting 6 drupal sites I work on. (each on a different grid server plan)

All the sites have the same issue now - users can not log in, or if they can it lasts only until the next click - so there apears to be some kind of session issue.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

All the installs of drupal are from their one click install (4.7.6)
