Drupal 4.5.x or older

I'm creating my first drupal site and I'm having trouble with my template. I have modified an exisitng template where there is a header sidebar-left, content, the new column called the sweet-spot, sidebar right, and the footer. The sweetspot is not apearring. it shows up as a "0" in the

it occupies. Is there a simple soulution to adding coulmns into the template or am I stuck with the side left side right and content columns? Any help is appreciated.

I got stuck with trying to get clean urls working with a DONHOST server account recently and thought I would post up here in case it helps others with a similar problem.

For reference, the donhost account I had problems with was Apache (Version 2.0.55), PHP Interface CGI with PHP Version 5.1.2.

The out-of-the-box .htaccess that comes with Drupal has always got Clean Urls working for me without any modification in the past, but, on the DONHOST server it returned an "Internal server error" when trying to run the Clean Urls test on the Admin -> Settings page.

To compound the problem MOD_REWRITE (the apache module that automatically catches links and returns clean urls) wasn't showing up using a simple PHPINFO.PHP file. The host was insisting mod_rewrite was installed and enabled and because it wasn't showing in phpinfo, I assumed it wasn't.

Anyways. I'm not a server/apache expert but the way I got around it was to un comment the rewrite base line in the .htaccess file:

# Modify the RewriteBase if you are using Drupal in a subdirectory and
# the rewrite rules are not working properly.
# RewriteBase /drupal 

So I ended up with this:

I inherited a drupal site and know enough about drupal to add stories, change and update blocks, but not a whole lot more. I need to add a page to the site so that when a user types in futurefamilies.org/bocce, it takes them to a page specific for that event.

I created the page in my pub_html libary on the ftp called bocce

I can create a new xtemplate theme item but the board wants users to be able to type in futurefamilies.org/bocce. What do I do?

I have no what version of drupal I have. How can I figure that out?

So I received a grant to establish a social networking website for artists in the Southwestern PA area. I made the mistake of choosing a programmer that gave me a good deal, but I think he is horrible. I was quoted anywhere from $100,000 to $50,000 to $8,000 to create this site. We are supposed to launch on April 21 and most of the fuctionality still is not finished and it is messy and sloppy and runs really slow. The programmer is using cold fusion.

What I am wondering is if Drupal would be able to handle a site like this.:

Firstly: Is it possible to create a site like this in Drupal?
- Is it hard to do, even if I am new to php and mysql but have some web design experience?
- After this verision of the site launches, how hard will it be to transfer all the data that the users have uploaded into their profiles without loosing it and without them having to change their passwords etc...?
- Is there anythig else I should consider?
