Drupal 4.5.x or older

Hi Guys.

I was doing some maintenance on a few of my sites and while checking the admin watchdog, there was a huge amount of login attempts by the following username:

EPCMFxSzvuRSy

He/she/bot is coming from random IP addresses, so I haven't worked out a way of banning the hacker/bot from my server.

A google search for that username suggests that he/she/bot is targetting Drupal sites.

i'm trying to setup a test environment of my drupal site... for content aggregation i use aggregation module and i'd like to know if there's a way to update (retrieve) feed items manually using that module as i can do with news aggregator provided with drupal? I don't have an ability to set up a cron job at my dev box and it's not handy to use automatic updates during development.

I am using Drupal 4.5.2 on an Apache server, and I have a MySQL database. (I am running an old version of Drupal because my server only has PHP 4.1.2 installed.)

I installed Drupal and most functions have worked, but I can't change passwords and other user account information. When I submit the page to change a password, assign roles or delete a user, the page refreshes without saving any of the changes. I can create users but not delete them or change their information.
