Module development and code questions

HI all,

I was looking out for a chat module and I found a few of those.

1) Chatroom
2) Phpchat
3) chatblock etc

The installation of these modules went on fine but am not able to use any of these. When I go to Settings -> chatmodule, or when I go to Content Types -> Configure, I do not see any chat related settings.

Moreover, I see an error Missing argument 2 for drupal_get_form() in C:\in\Source\includes\form.inc on line 61. when I try to access the chat modules. Has anyone faced this problem before? Is there some compatability issue?

I am looking for a way that allows users to download a file when they have told 'x' number of friends about a site. The incentive for 'telling a friend' is the file, which can be downloaded for free.

I was looking at the modules below, but they do not have any redirection or downloadable options attached when a user has informed a friend.

I'm wondering, is there some kind of grading system available for reply modules?

I'm trying to set up a mailing list, and I saw the ezmlm module, but it doesn't really work with 4.7, even though it says it does. The simple news module is good, but there's not really a page that has sign up on it, just the block. Anybody know how to tweak the simple news so it lets the block be viewed as it's own page?

is there any really easy image-upload-module for TinyMCE, which does nothing more than uploading an image and inserting it into the preview. The modules I found are too bloated and not really for the audience of my community. They just want to click and upload an image and nevewr want to think of it again, or even administer their uploaded pictures, take care of quota etc.

Any suggestions?
