Module development and code questions

Hi,

I have created a module, that has a form, combination of 'user registration' and 'create group' forms.
I have created this single form with multi-part techniques same like those.
Now on submitting, the user gets registration and get online, but I am not getting understand, how to add the new group fields....[which function is used to submit the new group in OG module.] and creating a new node in the database.

Hi, I am a drupal newbie, but I wasn't able to find any other posts regarding how I can display the rating at the top of the every page using the vote up/down module on one of my node types using cck. Any thoughts to how I can customize this?

I downloaded a module called 'slide-show', but when I tried to disable it, I still find it in create contents although it shows disabled in 'Modules'.

Can somebody please tell me as to why this has occurred and how can I fix it.

I have excerpt module installed and working, but I often make posts that are short enough to be displayed entirely on my homepage, without users needing to click the 'read more' link. Currently users often click the 'read more' link and go to a page where there is nothing more to read.

I would like the 'read more' link to not appear when I do not enter text in the 'teaser box'. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

I am looking at associating vocabularies to a user such as assigning a vocab item of president to a particular user. That user can also have other vocab items assigned to that user too such as a committee or a team. The problem I am running into with this is how can I restrict access to the user from changing the position/vocabulary term assigned to them. Is there a module out there that will do this?
