Geeklog migration: problem with "created" field, epoch

Hello,

I have just migrated over some users from a geeklog DB into my new Drupal version of the same site. After a couple of tries the users integrated in fine excluding the "created" field which I did not map. I inserted a unix timestamp into the migrated user's fields via an insert statement in mysql, but for some reason my Drupal installation does not seem to be recognizing the values. I know they are present in the DB, as I can see them. I ran cron.php to see if that may have been the problem, and that hasn't fixed it although cron seems to be working fine. I also updated the users_roles table to reflect the proper rid's for these users. I'm a little stumped here.

Could this have something to do with the fact that the "created" field was not initially given a value during the migration? I am unsure whether the default value of 0 was entered when I inserted the records, so perhaps that has something to do with it.

To see what I am referring to do the following:

• Browse to: http://www.skatemental.com/bm_dev
• Click on the icon to the left titled "The Mental" (can't miss it, it's a photo of Hunter S. Thompson)
• Click on a user that does not have a proper photograph. By that i mean one of the users with the crossed skateboard and pen icon. Also, don't click on the user "blarf". His date is correct.
• that will take you to the user profile for the user. In the top box of the user profile, you will see the date the user was created.

Plog --> Drupal

Hi,

I'm thinking of migrating across to Drupal from my current platform of Plog. I was wondering whether anyone had any experience of the pain (or otherwise) of migrating content to Drupal, either from Plog or from similar applications. My main areas of concern are:

- Migrating blog posts
- Migrating the associated comments
- Maintaining the referential integrity of internal links that I've used so that when the URL suffices of my posts change, it doesn't break the associated links
- Migrating assets (with the above referential integrity in mind).

Migrating content from a different blog to Drupal

Hi,

PostNuke migration to Drupal

I am seriously considering a switch from PostNuke 0.7.1 to Drupal 4.6.x, but worried about the MySQL database migration. Information I've found in the forums is either out-dated, or contains dead links to the suggested code segments.

My main concern is successfully moving the 35,000+ registered users, 13,000+ stories (with comments) and Polls (with comments) into Drupal.

1. Has anyone out there successfully migrated from such an old version of PostNuke to Drupal?

2. Can you provide any code?

3. Any suggestions to simplify the process?

Thank you.

Migrating from bBlog to Drupal

Well I just started to experiment with Drupal. I currently am using bBlog for my blog site. I have a unique mySQL database between the bBlog & Drupal. How can I export, copy or move my bBlog entries into my Drupal? This is a large factor if I switch my site over to Drupal, which I believe I want to do. I have yet to find much on this. Thanks!
