I am trying to begin using Drupal. I just don't like too much about Mambo and it's finally getting to me. The one thing though that I can't seem to find, or if I can find it don't know it can do this, is a moodule that will actually put a calendar in the right or left side. I want a calendar not just a list of upcoming events. The calendar modules that I have found all seem to just be a list. Also I need one that has and easy way to add events as this will be updated by non-technical people. Any guidance would be appreciated.
My name is Ram and i launched a community based site developed in ASP with MS SQL. This has been devloped by third party. Now i would like to convert this whole site into PHP based site. While i am looking for tools on PHP it happened to find this site and logged in immly. Now i have the following questions. It will be a great help if someone can answer these questions.
1. Can i migrate my site using "Drupal" without loosing any data.
2. What kind of expertise one needs to have to do my job.
Before you all get mad, yes I have read the PostNuke->Drupal thread already posted here and I have even managed to (quite easily!) migrate a lot of my PostNuke data to Drupal.
However, my biggest problem is the scripts posted don't migrate Anonymous comments. The reason I am going to use druapl is to power a personal blog and I am sick of my problems with PostNuke (though to be fair it has served me very well) and I like to look and feel of Drupal.
I'm converting PHPNuke bb module to Drupal, but strange thing happens. All topics have right number of posts but it's negative, thus none of topics displayes when entering term.
Follow the steps done - what's missed?
I want to ask if it is possible to make site like http://bombedout.com/ in drupal without some special hack with using phptemplate theme?
And how to make (left side) menu which will be generated automaticly depends on structure in database.
(ex.: http://bombedout.com/artists)
And if it is possible which modules may I use?
I have recently converted to Drupal and I am having a little trouble. I know what I want to do, but I haven't figured out HOW to yet.
What I am trying to do is upload a single picture, that has more then one 'keyword' associated with it.
How do I get the photo to load into more then one gallery? I am hoping that I don't have to upload one picture several times in order to get this effect.
I am sure I have overlooked the needed module somewhere.
