Need help migrating your site to Drupal?

Several admins (phpbb2drupal)

Is it possible to give user id 1 and 2 admin permissions? How do I setup permissions for groups of members?

Forum problem

I brought a medium size databse over to Drupal. With the help of some kind people here I managed to import my phpbb into drupal. I was trying out OG and Taxomony access and I must have deleted the very forum I imported into my Drupal. so i decided to just create a forum from scratch.

The new forum lets me post but the posts never show up in the new forum. I can see the posts in my "New forum topics" or "actvie forum topics". As a matter of fact it seems like the forum that I originally imported to Drupal is working fine...somewhere.

avatar

I am trying to add avatars to my site.

When I go to admin/users I dont have a config option.
When I got to settings i dont have a "user" option.
My theme (bluemarine) has both-
User pictures in posts
and
User pictures in comments

But the checkboxes are gray?

Forum permissions ie Moderator only forum - General forum

I have brought a medium size PHPBB over to Drupal. My moderator forums are in the open for all to see. Is there a way to use "roles" or some other method to create "groups of people" who can access certain forum categories and "groups of people" who can access other forum categories?

Newbie questions

I am a very late user of drupal. Now i am trying to do a website without much dynamic stuff(though missing the point of using drupal). I just wonder is there any easier way to create a page and change whatever page number since this would be more convenient for planning the reference across different pages.

I hope someone can give me some information on this.

cheers
Frank

Should I wait for Drupal 5?

I have a new project coming up and I am wondering if I should wait for 5.0 or should I just work with 4.7.4?

The site is a medium-sized community site with existing members. The CMS they are using at the moment is PHP-Nuke Platinum.

New site is expected to be in production late November or early December.
