Anyone use Drupal for Event Registration with LDAP authentication?

Hello Drupal Users/Developers,

I work for an academic institution that offers mini-courses for faculty, staff, and students with online registration. The system we use currently to register and administer these classes is less than desirable.

We were looking to see if Drupal is a possible solution to our problem and was wondering if anyone out there has used it for the same purposes as listed below or knows someone who has, knew of a Boston area developer who might be interested in pursuing this project, or if someone could recommend something else if not easily done?

We would need:

-To integrate drupal and authentication with a CAS server using LDAP (we don’t want to house the user database, just connect users fro the campus’ existing database with courses they wish to enroll in – currently, we query the campus’ database regularly and import their data in our own database that is then used for authentication.)
-To allow online registration by campus users using above system
-Ability for user to sort items by calendar view, list view, catergory or name
- To allow administrative privileges for us to enroll users not on campus into courses or as instructors, block users, unenroll participants,
-Statistics generation
-Automatic or close to automatic email reminders to participants of upcoming courses

Gotta start drupal site with pretty weird graphic layout... would really use some help from experts

I got a site to run with Drupal 5, and it has pretty weird layout. Like, menu located in the center of the page which makes node to be split in two parts, top and bottom. Really weird. Look for example here http://www.floorhouse.at, this is a site I need to convert to drupal.

PHPNuke to Drupal Help

Hi folks,

This is my first post after getting acquainted with Drupal. I currently run a website in PHPNuke and really need to be rid of it and change to something that is well supported and easier to use and maintain. I have had a go with Drupal and set up a couple of single user sites and seem to be getting the hang of things. I have just recently started to construct the new site in Drupal to replace the PHPNuke site and I had a few questions about the best way to go about things.

I have a large number of downloads in the PHPNuke Downloads section and I was wondering if there was a module which emulated the functionality of this area. Essentially something where I can list the downloads (which are already uploaded to the net) and write something about them and possibly count the number of download (although that does not really matter as much).

I am currently playing with setting up a forum in Drupal to receive the information from the PHPBB2 forum integrated into PHPNuke. Hopefully this will go reasonably well once everything is in place.

I chose Drupal - now I need some guidance on how I should convert my site...

Hello Drupal Community,

This is my first post, and I am really glad I have chosen Drupal as my CMS of choice. After long studying, etc...I believe Drupal is the best CMS choice on the web at this time for my needs.

I have a Drupal site running in the background of my old static site, so I have Drupal working perfectly, etc...but I need some tips/guidance on how I should go about transferring my website's hierarchy.

Importing forums from nuke to Drupal

I want to migrate from phpnuke to Drupal and I have used Bogdan's conversion plugin to import users, stories and forums.

It successfully imported usernames (although registering dates are incorrect - it says that all imported users were supposedly registered 38 years ago and the website is only 3 years old!) and stories.

But when it tries to import forums I get this error:

Html, CSS, to Drupal conversion: How?

Hi everybody,

I am looking for somebody who would be able to convert static Html, css site to drupal for me, as I don't have much time to learn drupal myself (although I'd love to). The site should have few static pages with basic information, blog section, news section and form sort of 'contact us' section. I would like to know, the budget I should prepare, time of the conversion and of course the fact whether I will be able to administrate it myself...

Tahnk you all
