I want to convert a home-grown CMS based on MS Access and Coldfusion to Drupal 7. I think I get how to import a basic flat-file database to a content type, but it seems like the data is more complicated than that. There are listings for restaurants, accommodations, businesses, and area attractions -- all in my own local content types, often stored in simple relational tables.
I’m a Product Manager who has recently joined a company that has a custom built website using PHP. They don’t use a CMS. All changes need to be submitted to the development team. I'll be making a case to migrate to a CMS, probably Drupal. Not being particularly technical I’m not sure what’s involved in migrating the current PHP site to Drupal CMS? Will it require a complete rewrite or is a relatively straight forward process. I understand this is a “piece of string” question and depends on the complexity of the site (forms, custom functionality etc).
Please forgive my noobishness, and feel free to direct me to some information that might help with this (I've tried google, but couldn't find anything helpful)
I'm quite new to drupal, but loving it so far. I'm hoping to gradually move a client of mine from their current, horrible CMS over to drupal, but it will likely have to be gradual, taking place in specific phases.
I created a custom theme for my clients site. But when a link is added, it has it's own color. The color is not from a css file but is added directly to the html. Here is an example:
Tried everything, but every time now that I put an apostrophe in a page, and now even in links, there is a backslash before and after the apostrophes (\\\)
