Translations

Greetings,

Can anybody suggest a good tool to manage translation files ? I mean generate PO files.

For example I have a module with already completed translation (generated PO file). I made several valuable changes in this module and lots of new strings were added as well as some of existing string were changed.

I need to regenerate PO file but of course it is desireable to leave unchanged strings translated and only add new ones.

I have some questions about po files.
I traslate pot file to my language, then I run "extractor.php " and collect file to "extractor-php.pot" then how can I convert this pot files to .po file in my machine and how can I create "az.po" to Use in drupal

I'm trying to translate the Printer Friendly Page module to french, and decided to use the german po file as a template and to see how it works. To this end I enabled german language localization and imported de-4.6.0.

When I go to admin -> settings -> print, the module-specific interface doesn't seem to be using the module's de.po, even after I select german from the language toolbar. The rest of the site seems to translate correctly (to someone w/ my poor grasp of german).

Is this something I have to enable? If so, how?

I have problems with importing translations. Can I just import translation with other way?

I want to know how to export the english language into a .po file, and not only the translations that I´ve installed.
Or maybe instead of that... Could I download the original english .po file?

The thing is that I love to have my admin area in english, but as I live in Argentina, users interface should be in spanish.

I try to import the german .po file for beta 4.7 and get the following error:

The translation import of de.po failed.

What can I do?
