Translations

I'm new in Drupal but that look very nice that I have see.

Now is that problem that I have install the Swedish po file on my site and some word are in Swedish and some word are in English so I open the po file to change some word from English to Swedish but that have someone already done that but still it show the English word and not the Swedish??

I have seen several installations of the wonderful module i18n that do not use the block & flags that come standard with the module, but my search for a recipe on how to put the language choice in a link (and if possible in a primary or secondary link) has only yieleded a couple of references that are too obscure to me. Would it be possible to someone in this community to show me how to move the i18n functions from the block to a link?

Iam translating Drupal language file into Persian but I faced some problem.

The First prob is that when I clicked on remove option for deleting a string no popup window prompt me and some time I unwantedly clicked in remove option when I want to edit the string. :(

The second problem is that I don't know how I can add a string to my translated file instead of removed ones!

added zh-hans language using drupal's translation admin. switching languages using i18n module gives me these big square blocks instead of chinese (see screenshot). The web-browser is set to UTF-8.

Using drupal 46, i18n downloaded 20Feb06.

This server is using MySQL5, php5. I loaded the database from a MySQL4 drupal installation (using phpmyadmin to dump the db), but tried deleting the chinese translation and re-adding it. it works/looks fine on the mysql4 server, but rubbish [][][][] on the mysql5 install. Both sites running latest php5/apache13.

This is a very basic question: how do I put a translation up on my site? I have installed the webform module and I want the French version to be available also. I see that I have a fr.po file, but I don't know what to do with it.
