Theme development

How do I declare html5 () on my website made on Drupal 7? Do I use some template.php file? Some module? and How do I do this?

hi all, i am new to drupal 7 and creating a new theme, i have setup a taxonamy as page and have
home, contact etc etc i have got my theme working for only the front page template and have a page.tpl file for others, i am wanting to also have a seperate layout for my contact page but tried:
page--contact.tpl and it still only loads the page.tpl file.
can someone please help, many thanks, michael.

what are some good blank themes i can use to start working on my own theme?

Drupal has a nice built-in taxonomy term page that shows a term description followed by all the nodes that are tagged with that taxonomy term. I have one here: http://lawloraincounty.com/beta/service-types/estate-planning-probate . I want to use Panels to lay out that page.

Hello!
I need to display some content in a website with Masonry grid.But it doesn't work.
When I use Views module and in "format" choose "Masonry grid" in the settings I find:
"MASONRY OPTIONS
These settings have been disabled as the jQuery Masonry plugin is not properly installed.".
But in the "modules" I see that everything's installed correctly.
Do you have any suggestions?
