Theme development

I recently installed drupal and I am trying to modify the primary links in a PHPtemplate, but I am having problems. I enter three links under "link text" etc. and only the final link will appear. This seems to be the case in any PHPTemplate I have installed (I am working with blix and greybox).

Any thoughts?

Does anybody know how I could insert the voting module in a block so I can display it anywhere on my page?
