Theme development

I've changed the CSS in every place I can think of to get the background image of the rose to go down to the bottom of this page: www.leadersandreaders.com/bookreviews/

I've been using the Firefox plugin to view the CSS and can't figure out why it all of the sudden breaks to white half-way down the page.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Also, it appears that wordpress had installed an icon that shows up in the browser URL window in all of my directories. How do I change that?

But in the first page of the view (to show playlists), the float:left does no exist.

so in the first page of the view :

node1
node2
node3

and in the 2nd page and after :

node1 node2
node3 node4

Can you tell me why ??

Or how can I go about making my own box...or my own form or whatever?

I have a problem that i hope can easily be solved. I have code for a javascript stock ticker in a .js file in a directory outside of the themes directory. Now im currently trying to reference that code in the page.tpl.php using the following:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/files/Ticker/stockticker.js"></script>

My thinking is that seeing as I want the ticker to be displayed on every page visited putting the code in the page.tpl.php would accomplish what I want. But for some reason the ticker is not showing up.

I´m going crazy looking for a fix to this problem. All my site works well but, when I click on 'post a new comment', all my content move to the top of the website.

I'm trying to rewrite urls within # chars without luck.

Apologies in advance is this is a really stupid question..

A while ago I set up a 5.x drupal site and was playing around with the WYSIWYG theme editor in Drupal (the one where you can change colours on existing themes etc). I have since set up a new Drupal site and can't find that editor at all. From what I remember it came with Drupal core... Is there anything specific I need set up for it to work? The only thing I can think of is the GD library which says it's installed in the status report
(GD library bundled (2.0.28 compatible))
