OK - I found this topic on http://drupal.org/node/45944 and I understand the premise of organizing the content by the type and theming accordingly I am missing the step where you can designate the node type :-)
I'm new to Drupal and I need to adjust some design to fit my needs. I'm using Smart template engine for a long time, so i would like to use it for this task as well. I saw it's available for Drupal 4.7 but I'm interested if it's available for Drupal 5.x because i didn't find it?
Also I would like to know is there a possibility to hide right sidebar on some pages and to show it on some other pages because i didn't manage to do that myself ( i was reading that beginner tutorial for theming and i tried something with PHPTemplate but i didn't like it much ).
A couple of buddies and I started a design company that we run on the side. I'm the developer for web projects and I'm working on my first major site. The client needs to be able to easily update and manage content in the future so I started looking at CMS systems and finally ended up picking Drupal because I saw how flexible the PHPtemplate engine was as far as the design. I've got a semi-working theme and I'm at stage where I need to figure out exactly how the site needs to be structured from Drupal's end.
We've edited the cms-theme, and I've found that activemenus (part of jstools module), and ajaxim, both seem to break when uploaded onto our site. however, they both work with the same theme on two of our computer's localhost installs. The modules also both work when using the default cms-theme, as well as say bluemarine, garland etc. so it must be caused by the custom edit.
I've looked at both the modules and the theme in question, but nothing comes up for support, especially since its custom theme.
I want to make something like a educational website. I choose Drupal for the core.
However, I'm wondering if someone can can help me about making the theme,
so that when user goes to HomePage, it's open with 3 column.
But when he/she try to open the contents (page/blog), it shows in 2 columns....
