Not strictly Drupal, but may be interesting to those into the social networking side of things, the World Summit on Free Information Infrastructures (http://www.wsfii.org) is happening in London this weekend.
Wireless networks, open source free mapping systems, open currencies and all sorts of other social geekery going down. The conversations I've been having with the people who have been arriving in the last few days have been great. It's going to be a pretty amazing event.
As it turns out, there aren't booths available for non-sponsor open source projects at this year's EuroOSCON, so we've decided to stage Bar Camp Amsterdam, an outgrowth of the plans already being made for DrupalCon.
I will present an intorductory slideshow about Drupal (the most up to date version, which is going to be 4.7) in Kecskemét at the PHP Roadshow. Other interesting presentations that day include: guildelines for web developers, using frameworks, Flash and PHP communication, etc. The sessions are all in Hungarian only.
I'm visiting San Fran until this coming Sunday, Sept. 4th. I'm hoping to have a meetup of local Drupal-minded folks on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday night. Right now I'm leaning towards Thursday night.
I don't know the city very well, but have been told that 21st Amendment might be a good venue.
Join us at the LinuxWorldExpo, London, Olympia, October 5-6, to learn about Drupal. We will be present at the .Org village alongside Mozilla Europe, opensourcematters.org (formerly known as Mambo), debian, gentoo, openbsd and a lot of other great projects.
