5th edition of LinuxDays will take place in Geneva on June 3 - 5. LinuxDays is the first IT show in French-speaking Switzerland to be dedicated to Open Source solutions, in businesses, but also in schools and administrations. The entry is free for all.
LinuxDays are aiming at promoting Open Source solutions to businesses and organisations, by introducing the existing solutions, by animating debates, by gathering all the companies that have the best competencies for your Open Source projects.
Conferences at LinuxDays 2009 are distributed between 4 tracks: Education, Public administrations, Open for Business and Grid Computing. Each of these tracks has its own themes. There will also be workshops to continue the talks and ideas started in the conferences.
About CMS and Drupal, there will be two conferences by the Edipresse group, one about the migration of all their newspapers' websites to Drupal ("Drupal for Media : the Edipresse experience"), and one about tuning Drupal for high performance ("High performance Drupal for media sites").
Also, our key note speaker, Michel Rocard, a former French Prime Minister and Deputy at the European Parliament, will give a conference and participate to a debate about legal aspects of using Free Software.
