Studying Linguistics

This is a simple blog that I'm writing about linguistics.

http://www.studying-linguistics.com/

The theme I did it myself. I'm using a views-based simple own made module for Blog Archiving (I will publish it soon). Also, I'm using the modules Pathauto and Google Analytics.

New and Improved EDM Nexus

Hey guys. We just launched the newest version of EDM Nexus.

http://www.edmnex.us

we're using a crap ton of contributed modules and a few home grown ones. One of the coolest things is the LM_Paypal module. We're using this to allow a tiered membership system where we can offer members with certain roles, special features like audio hosting and podcasting and enhanced event listings. Anyway, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

selwane.tv website dedicated to videos.

Hi,
I just launched yesterday, a website (www.selwane.tv) dedicated to all videos a friend has taken with his camcorder. These videos cover some event in Morroco, especially festivals (right now essaouira).
I choose drupal (despites I was only familiar with Joomla before) because taxonomy is convenient to organize video, and also I like that there's a builin commenting system (I expect less bug than if it was a separate component).

In order to enhance user experience with videos, I'm using the following features:
- tags (off course) & tagcloud (module tagadelic).
- ability to rate (module jrating) & comment videos.
- a view presenting the thumbnail of the most rated/ recent video .

The website is essentially based on the "video cck" module, wich mean that all video are stored in video
sharing sevice like youtube ... Notice that user can't share their video yet, but have to register in order to vote or post comments.

GoodGrease.com | Waste Vegetable Oil Conversions

Shiny new upgrade to 4.7.x.

http://www.goodgrease.com/

Props to all the dev's, patch hackers, whiny wusers, and most especially those out there that just point and laugh. At least we've got the full attention! :D Show it up, yo/

Samat deserves a jingle for the slick, slippery and enticing Sands theme. It takes a rat site and turns it into fine cheese. Where's that tip jar, partner? When I figure out how to tweak Gimp to make the logo yellow like vegetable oil, that'll be the icing on the cake.

What do you all think of the site? Cool? Kool? k00L? If we all drive wvo vehicles, we'd starve to death, but that beat asphyxiation, right? Sure beats throwin bang snaps at people for hangin in the yard. But sharks are the worst, cause you can't see them comin - like your final wake on a a warm summer night.

Drupal has the fix for everyone cause it makes us get along and forget that we didn't even know why we were doing what we were doing, especially sharks, cause they get free food and it doesn't have to be us. :-)

The bells and whistles comin out w/ each new release make me wonder, at what point does core bury itself w/ too many nice options and hooks? I guess as long as the codez crankin and sitez are loading, we'll stack the modz and push the goodz.
