The Jewish Chronocle, a UK-based Jewish weekly newspaper has soft-launched a beta site developed and themed by Fabriko.
The site will shortly be trialling some social networking features such as buddies, groups and the like as well as some participative features such as simcha submissions and other social news.
SOcial networking within a UK newspaper is a bit of a departure for the UK Presss and the JC site is being watched closely by the industry.
Hi, I've used Drupal to create a site to write about your bad days and make them funny. It's an idea I took from a French site that extend on another site's idea that itself had copied a US site... well you get the idea, it's a meme...
The main modules used are Drigg and vote_up_down. Everything else is just a little tweaking of the templates and major CSS rework.

I'm working on "Social network site for glass artists and fans",
named "My Glass Art", http://www.myglassart.org
I used a lot of views, panel pages, adv profile and many other great modules.
Because I'm not a programer, but a designer, it was not easy to build this
site by myself. HTML and CSS files are still not cleaned at all,
and meta tags and many descriptions on my site is still need to be fixed.
Although I'm still developing this site, I want to get some feedback from all of you.
Not even 24 hours later and we've launched another Drupal 5.x website. This effort was a lot more streamlined than the first go-round using more modules and custom code.
