Hook, Yarn, and Needles Old Stuff

http://www.hookyarnandneedles.com/oldstuff/ Yes I will certainly take all criticisms and suggestions so don't be afraid to speak up. I just want to also thank anyone and everyone who has ever posted answers because that is where I have been learning almost everything. If there is anyone new looking at this, just keep at it, I do not know a whole lot about computers and just by reading, I learned how to do plenty :) Hope you all like it.

Extremely custom for photography

I got a wild hair tonight and created a site that doesn't look like Drupal (but is.)

I'm an amateur photographer, and wanted somewhere to show off my work. There's two types of photographer sites I've seen - either prepackaged Drupal or other blog sites, or something extremely custom built with Flash.

Prepare to be thoroughly unimpressed!

http://www.wshancocksociety.org

I've been talking about moving to CMS for years and been so hesitant to leave my beloved and and defunct FrontPage! Recently I had a client who had no budget and a crappy site. Their current site just died and fortunately we were able to save the content from archive.org.

So I decided to use this bad luck as a primer to get started with Drupal. Believe it or not this site has taken two full weeks from start to now. It almost makes you wonder what I've been doing? Well, it was important for me to do everything right and understand, at least to a small scale, what what happening behind the scenes. I made the decision to install locally and learning about that, installing WAMP and setting it all up was a pain. Website Goals and Challenges:

In designing this site, we had several specific goals in mind, mostly for the end user.

website for agency specializing in Drupal projects

Here it is, we are ready to show our new website to the world. At last :)
The website is bi-lingual (russian and english). Actually it is not too complex from functional point of view, but big attention was given to details. The design is minimalistic (the theme was designed and developed from scratch).
The portfolio section (with two modes of work previews) was done using views+cck.
