Post installation

I have installed filestore on Drupal 4.4 but uploading files appears to truncate them, the original sizes don't match the download sizes.

The upload directory is also empty. The files are not stored there and appear to be stored in the database which I don't want.

Any ideas?

There is my problem :
When I'm posting a comment everywhere on the website, a blank screen is appearing and i can't do anything else than a history back action.

This is specific to the event.module, but also as a general question.

I am trying to set up events that cover multiple days without setting up an event for each day. I don't want to duplicate the event description, and have the comments get separated up between the various days. I guess I could set up redirectors on each node to point to day 1 of the event but I was hoping to avoid reloading a page each time.

I have just installed Drupal 4.4 on my (hosted) site - http://www.madprops.org.

I wanted to experiment with XMLRPC blogging, so I activated the blogapi module and downloaded w.bloggar to try it out.

However, w.bloggar throws this error when I point it to /xmlrpc.php:

Unable to parse the XML response. Parser Reason:XML document must have a top level element.

I used to play around with 4.3.x and things worked well. I have since removed that version and installed 4.4.0. Things work fine. I downloaded some themes from drupal.org, untar'd them to the themes directory, and now cannot change themes. When I go into the config section, and select themes, I get a blank page. If I remove the newly downloaded themes from the themes dir, I am again able to access the theme config page. This happened with all of the themes I tested. Are the old themes not compatible with 4.4.0? Is there any easy fix to make them compatible?

when I validate my css the W3C validator spits out the following:

Uncaught error java.lang.Exception: Import loop detected in http://thinkdrastic.info/webcontent/themes/xtemplate/xtemplate.css

What do I need to do to make my stylesheet validate? Thank you for your advice.
