Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Custom header

Hi there.

I've finally successfully installed Drupal, very impressed!
However, I'd like to customise my site as much as possible. I've used a php include in the index.php file, linking to header.php ( a file i created with my own header). Upon arrival of the site, and when you login and logout, the following is displayed:

Altering Date Formats

This one's driving me nuts. I want to drop the the time from the end of the dates on my front-page posts, but can't seem to get the necessary functions to play ball. I looked in the forum archives and found some code to produce a custom date format, but it only produces the same time and datestamp over and over again - back in 1970. Is there something really obvious I'm missing?

Need help with some settings

So, i install drupal, everything works fine, but i cant figure it out how to make some things... Like:

The Website im working on has "inside projects", every project has 3 things.

(a)Description; like an article
(b)Updates; like a blog;
(c)Gallery, pictures of the project.

Offcourse there are some static pages (about, contact us). But the main feature of the website are the projects, every project has their own page that you only can see when you go to this especific proyect page. But i dont know how to filter...

Frusterating Problem With Comments

I've been using Drupal for about three months now and have been pretty happy with it, except for one problem I continue to have with comments.

Basically, if a user or anonymous user posts a comment it never will actually post the comment for sure. Right now I have the preview comment set as an option, but I have tried it in all of the different configurations and I still am having the same problem.

If an anonymous user goes to enter a comment and then clicks on the "post comment" button, most of the time the comment will not be posted, but will just go to a new screen showing the entered comment at the top and then the "preview comment" button at the bottom. If I turn off the preview button it does the same thing, just without showing the preview comment button. If you click on post comment or preview comment it just keeps going in a circle and the comment never gets posted.

This also happens if you preview the comment first. If you preview it, then submit it, it just takes you back to the preview comment page and never actually posts the comment. I'm getting the same problem for registered users most of the time. Does anybody have any idea as to what the problem would be? I have no clue and I've tried everything I know how to do. My site is http://blog.aranami.net and if you go there you can hopefully duplicate my problem. Sometimes on a very rare occasion it works, but most of the time it doesn't. I don't understand why it would work 5% of the time and not work 95% of the time.

Bad Request

Bad Request , is the error i get when trying to edit any of the configurations of the site, with exception some cases.. here follows the error:
--------------------------------------------------------

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Odd problem with long content

Hi,

I have a weird problem with my Drupal installation. If I try to post a page/story with content over 1000 characters in length, Drupal acts as if I left the body field empty. I have had this issue with 4.4.2, and now CVS. I can insert the data into MySQL with PHPMyAdmin and the mysql command, and Drupal displays it properly then. Another copy of Drupal CVS running on the same machine also has this issue. While an installation of 4.4.2 on a Windows IIS server worked perfectly.
