Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Critical bug while deleting user in drupal 4.5rc

i refer to the issue created here,
http://drupal.org/node/12103

it happens to be user.module, let me know if anyone has encountered the same problem and also fixed the same.

user error: Table 'database.paypal_queue' doesn't exist

I get this error after loading the paypal module;

user error: Table 'database.paypal_queue' doesn't exist query: SELECT log, value from paypal_queue ORDER BY log LIMIT 10 in / path to drupal /includes/database.mysql.inc on line 125.

although I am not sure whether it is resulting from the paypal framework. Is anyone getting this error? In this message 'database' is the name of the database. I get the error at the bottom of the page when the homepage loads.

Access denied when viewing galleries

I am running the latest image module with Drupal 4.5.0. All users can post images and see images in content such as blog entries or user generated pages.
However, no one but the first adminstrator user can view galleries. Anonymous and authenticated get an Access Denied page when trying to view either their own gallery or someone else's gallery.
I have set the permissions in Users:Configure:Permissions to allow everybody access to everything.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is the last thing I need to get working before my site goes live!

Is your multi-role, multi-user Drupal 4.5 installation working?

I lack the patience for this really. Disorganization, lack of information from those "in charge" really puts me in a bad mood. That and I have yet to get my community online using Drupal. It is a constant up uphill battle against bug after bug after bug. Well I don't know if they are bugs or if it is just ineptness on my part because I can't find any information on how things are supposed to work. Sure there are plenty of kind hearted people around here giving a good effort to help. But they can never say anything difinative like "this is exactly what's wrong do this...".

block to accompany log in block?

I want to use a kind of "start here" block which only appears alongside the log in block.
I.e., only on the index.php page, but not after logged in, but reappears after logging out.

I've used this syntax in the path box, which accepts php settings, (within "<" and ">")

^(/|index\.php)$

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
(Apart from learning to write php, which isn't a realistic option for me at this time)

Thanks!
Jbc
