Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Themes lead to database corruption?

I am using Drupal 4.5.2 with the default Bluemarine theme. The database is
MySQL 3.23. The site is this.

I tried many of the themes that can be found at drupal.org, including Sunflower, Goofy, Kubrick, Interlaced and many more. After I tested many themes I decided to return to my default Bluemarine theme.

When I loaded the Bluemarine again, everything was messed up:
- The sidebar was on the left instead of on the right.
- My site logo and name was not showing up
- My site footer was hidden
- My primary links and secondary links weren't showing up
- The article titles were not clickable as before
- When I checked some articles, I was seeing some random characters instead of
the article text.

It is not a caching issue on my browser because I tested it with many different computers.

What I did then was to download the original Drupal 4.5.2 again and set-up the site
from the beginning using the same database. So, I replaced all code, without
of course copying the non-default themes. I had again a default Drupal installation using the same database. The display was still incorrect, which makes me to believe that somehow the database got corrupt.

Note: I use the Feedback and Excerpt modules.

One of the themes I tried was Goofy, and another user has posted this bug
report: http://drupal.org/node/15400

However I don't know whether it was Goofy which caused the problem, because I

the shy jpeg

Hello,
I have a problem with a site image. It forms the title of my blog - it's a .jpg file. It opens on my desktop at home, but seemingly nowhere else.
Here is the relevant tag, contained in the theme file:

img border=\"0\" src=\"themes/oc/ologo.jpg\"

The website is http://orangecommons.ca
Can anybody see the image on their computers? If not, what might be the problem?
Is there a basic flaw in the path? Is the .jpg format inapt for the task?
Many thanks.

Frame issue/cpanel question

I added script in my site software block that says I'm a member of so and so organization, but the script came out so large that it's warped my frames and I can only see one column. Which file do I need to go into in the cpanel's file manager to take care of this? thanks

Internet Explorer Crashing when Viewing my Drupal site

My primary browser while developing my site is Firefox or Safari, so I don't always test out my site on Internet Explorer until I'm at work and forced to use IE. What happens when I view my site in IE is this:

The page loads completely.
The left column and right column work properly (ie. css mouse effects)
But, if the mouse is moved over the center column, Internet Explorer crashes immedietly with the following error...

Error signature:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1458 Offset: 0010189e

I could post the technical information about this error if someone would like to see it.

I have un-promoted these posts from the front page, and the issue goes away... I have checked the code within the posts and cannot find anything wrong with it. I have also retyped the post from scratch, sometimes the issue goes away, most times, it remains. And I end up unpublishing up to 10 blog entries to figure out which one is causing the problem, then promoting them all back. This has become a HUGE pain for me. If it were up to me, I would suggest everyone just use Firefox or Safari, neither of these browsers have this issue, just IE, but since almost 40% of my traffic still uses IE, I need to figure this one out.... Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

google crawling invalid urls?

I'm finding 404 page not found errors in my logs that look like this (this is google, but many search spiders are producing them):

66.249.64.66 - - [06/Feb/2005:07:32:35 -0800] "GET /taxonomy/view/or/1?from=20 HTTP/1.0" 404 7454 "-" "Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

I'm running 4.5.2. These URLs should be more like "/taxonomy/page/or/1". I look at the source of my drupal-generated pages, and I don't see any links like "/taxonomy/view/or/".

Any idea why this is happening?

node image Page Cannot Be Found Popup

I'm trying to install node image on the latest version of Drupal 4.5.2. The only problem I'm running into is that I've configured the module to simply add a button when posting a node. The Add Inline Image button. When I click on that button in the browser, a new window pops up, but says Page Cannot Be Displayed. I've also navigated straight to

?q=node/add/blog

...as mentioned in one of the forum posts. This also results in a Page Cannot Be Found message.

Am I missing something?
