Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Book Library

I have a request by a potential client about having some kind of tracking of items. In this case, it is books in a library. Now, I have been looking around but can't really find any topic threads (there must be some somewhere) regarding tracking of books.

Essentially, they have a collection of books they wish to track the whereabouts, and I am thinking of doing it through Drupal. I thought possibly the e-commerce system might be something to use.

Anyone out there with suggestions for a possible library.module or is there something someone has working in a similar bent?

problems with negen9 theme and IE

I've designed my site (or am in the process of designing it) with the negen9 theme. I've only tested it in firefox and it seems to be rather nicely laid out. When I tested it in IE, however, there were a few problems.

1) under the banner there is a blank white space

2) the footer_back.gif image doesn't show up.

Can anyone shed some lighton this? I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I can't figure it out. The link to the site is http://72.9.242.6/

Hola !

i need a main navigation link which works just like the "forum" module, but for pages/stories
(u can list all Terms of "forum" with a link like "domain/forum")

so far i tried the following

made a vocabulary "Topic" (node types page/story)
made a Term for "Term"
published a page in "Term"

i want a navigation structure (mod_rewrite is on) that gives me the possibility to list the pages/stories for "Term" with a link like

"domain/Topic"

Linking drupal to my preexisting webpage files...

Hello,

Prior to the drupal installation, I had been developing a website whose files are all located in a separate folder than the drupal one. (i.e. my php files are stored in folder called "newsite" and drupal files are in folder called "drupal"). Also, my website's database is separate from that of the drupal one.

How do I link these two? I mean say I want to allow my users to be able to edit the pages in "newsite" folder as well as update the database for my currrent site, I mean isnt that what the CMS is suppposed to do anyway?

Please let meknow

sort of book pages

hello
i've sucessfully create an office intranet with Drupal . I use a modified theme from box cleanslate and things going well.
I've set up a news page with a book and i notice that elemnts are sorted out by name. For news i think it's better sorting by creation date. Is it possible to have the choice of sorting on book basis ?
I'm too new in Drupal to modify myself the book module and i think this can be an interresting improvement of book module.

Drupal is exactly what i want : a modularized CMS, and it works fine : great !
