Post installation

hi there:
I have downloaded a couple of themes here that have 3 columns in the demo pics, however I dont see a place to activate my theme for 3 columns. The themes am trying to use are democratica, friendselectric and kubric; Can anyone please help me and tell me where to do it.
Today is my first ever drupal installation, so forgive me if this is too NOOB of a question.

Sorry if this is a very basic question, but here it goes..

I’m building a Drupal site where service providers can create “service profiles” describing their service offerings. The service profiles are based on a custom content type (built with flexinode).

In order to classify the service profiles, they can be associated to 1-n “Cities” and 1-n “Service Areas”. To achieve this, I have created two vocabularies with the following terms into Drupal (both with ‘Multiple Select’ set):

I am using the push button theme on a new Drupal site, with fckeditor.

However, whenever I use paragrpah tags (as in articles) it does not insert a blank line in between the paragraphs - the next paragraph starts on the line directly below the last one.

Please tell me how to fix this. Is it in the style.css or xtemplate.xtmpl files? Thanks so much!

i have registered to it and i got a license key and partner id to my email id
i have congifured it in the eweather component

first of all: terribly sorry for this question! I feel I would have to be able to find an answer on this while exploring drupal but to be honost: drupal's possibillities are overwhelming me!

I am lost where it is about authorizing users to certain categories. I am planning to build a website that has a few contributors to it and some categories must be available for writing for a user, but for another it should be locked.
