Post installation

I've been setting up my own drupal site the past months and thought I would be safe but guess I was wrong at that point..

I know this is probably the first post about it, but the problem I've been stuck in the last couple of weeks is to do with Php safe mode and the image module and I'm pretty new to drupal so I'll hope that excuses me.. :)

Hey everyone. I am using RC5 of civicspace and the events module. I am trying to get remindme to work and I did everything that I should need to do for setup including creating the tables. (Although I modified the tables to use my sites prefix so they are cs_ prefixed). No matter what I don't seem to get notifications. I know cron is running, so I looked at the notifier tables. The table listing which tids I have requested has the list correctly and I see the tids. However the actual list of the events that need notification (remindme_node table) is always empty.

I'm looking for a block that displays main categories in my site (vocabulary). Since users can add categories this block got to be dynamic. Im looking for a page module the discribe sub-categories (terms) list for picked category.

How to construct such a listing?
