First, I want to say because of my involvement with drupal, I have begun using firefox...and it rocks. I've even gotten the professors in my department to start using firefox...no easy task, mind you, when they are 50+ and have only used windows. Anyways, I'm a hero! Thanks Drupal community!
Been playing with Organic Groups and it's almost exactly what I need. except, when content is created from the OG content block, it is also automatically promoted to the front page.
The site is a sort of group/community blog, where any registered user can post content, so the site settings are for content to be automatically promoted to the front page.
However, I would like for content belonging to a group to only be visible to members of the group and not be shown on the front page. I have tried the varioius settings in OG, but nothing seems to work.
I want to create a block that displays certain fields of a certain flexinode type i created. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it... :-/
I also want to be able to control the way it will all look. Ex: $field_1 $field_2 ...
I have an active drupal that was installed in /drupal on my website. I'd like to rename the directory to something else ("blog" I think).
I tried it, saw that I have to change the RewriteBase parameter in .htaccess and thought it was ok ... but css files are not called and I get the raw content.
In my page.tpl (phptemplate) I saw that css files are called using $styles variables, I didn't manage to find where it's defined !
I was wondering if there is some way to move my site to a new server without having any or very minimal down time? Or, some way to merge databases between the old site and the new while the domain is switching?
I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and thanks to everyone for their comprehensive posts. I have managed to get this far without posting. But, this too shall pass!
Here goes:
www.k2chronicles.com is a travel blog site using the friendselectric theme. I have bypassed the default blue banner by creating a "logo" that is a banner image. I just realized that because this theme is dynamic, the image may be too large or too small depending on the browser window size.
