Post installation

I have my login and my admin area links...but I don't have a screen where it shows me all the areas I can edit in the administration area.

In order to go to one or another, I have to type in /blocks or /nodes or something. This is a pain in the ass.

Can anyone help me with how to get one login to an admin area that shows me all the links that I can administer?

I'm using 4.7 beta 4. I'm setting up custom profile fields and it seems that for almost every field type: multi-line textfield, checkbox, list selection, freeform list, date except for single-line textfield creates links when looking in /profile (list of users). I've got them all showing up in the user list, but no matter what I do the single-line textfield doesn't create a link to all.

My site keeps getting hijacked by spammers. They hit the site, duplicate the site, then the database and the site goes down. Then I get notices from my host provider that my site is sending spam.

I am not a programmer so I don't alter any PHP, etc., etc., the most I can do is fiddle with CSS. I know enough to not use my admin to log into my site after initial setup (although I have needed it to help me get the site back up after the spammers trashed it), I have several different roles with different levels of access, and I don't let anyone log into my site except me.

How do I go about blocking an IP address from posting on a site?

I have someone who has been posting spam to our site all day. I have the spam module, so it's catching most of his junk. But if he didn't post links, it would stay.

So I set anon users so they can't comment without approval. So now not only do I have the spams to delete, but the ones that weren't stopped by the spam module.

Everything has come through the same IP address.

Is there anyway to block this person?

I have read a bit about the CCK and wanted to give it a try. I downloaded the last version from cvs only to find the README.txt doesn't match what is in the package. For example, there is no sql file to add the required DB tables, just files with the extention of .install. What are these and how do you use them?

Running the new video.module, and uploaded a video as a test.

Questions:

1. How do I do it so that when a person clicks the link, it goes straight to playing the video. I prefer not to have all those options above the video. Is there a way to get rid of them and just have it play normally like most other video sites? A simple of version of say this page: http://www.dumpalink.com/c/Movies
