Hi,
I need your advice. I would like to add a technical support to my website, somewhere where users can post bugs, feedbacks, and also somewhere where the technical support staff can post things about website improvements, new modules installed, and everything technical.
My programmer firend, says that there have been some issues with Drupal security in the past, and that there is at least one version of drupal so easy to hack that manypeople scan for it , just to hack. He says that there is a flawed xml-rpc immplementation. Does anyone have more information on this? I looked in the securty section but only saw listings for various projects.... is what he says, true?
Ok, so I have been reading up on Taxonomy and I do understand its use. I was wondering if using the taxonomy feature adds the keywords to the content and thereby relating the keywords I use throughout my dynamic content.
No I could just build a tree structure manually and sort my data that way. But if using the taxonomy feature facilitates my doping of keywords, then all the better.
I have searched the forums and seems that everyone has taxonomy questions, so if this has been answered before, then my apologies.
I disabled my login form on drupal becuase it's not a comunity site and i know how to get back to my admin page just fine, but! when I go to my admin page, drupal won't let me log in anywhere... it denies me access to everything and I have to go back to the homepage where that default drabble of Drupal's is still there and click "create account" to get to a log in area. How can i fix this, so that I can log in effectivly, and no one else can?
I'm looking at Drupal for the first time and wondering about what sort of content types to use for a document repository. I have several groups of files that I need to present on my site that only require some simple metadata(name, date published). No text body to speak of.
This would be used for things like collections of pdf files. I see no obvious modules for this sort of thing. Am I overlooking something?
