Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

how do i...create a filter by which to translate tags into css ids?

hi everyone,

i want to set up drupal so that i (and my users) can simply go into the body of a node and type

{left}img="files/leftimage.jpg"{/left}
{right}img="files/rightimage.jpg"{/right}

etc. etc. etc.

i would like to have these translated into the appropriate html which would shove the first image into a div with the id of "leftimage" and the second into a div with the id of "rightimage".

although it'd be nice to reformat the code in the middle, it's possible for it to be regular html too.

Syndication Config?

Gday folks,

I'm finding the configuration of Syndication somewhat confusing and I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction:

I simply want to be able to easily configure syndication such that when clicking the XML icon under "syndicate", only "blog-related" content-types are generated in the XML. At the moment content of type "story" is listed in the XML as well. I basically would like to restrict or otherwise control the content-types that are accessed via the syndication block.

Many thanks for any pointers.

Now this is driving me nuts. I am logged in as admin and trying to post a comment on forum topic, all I get is this message everytime

"Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator."

.htaccess and robots.txt on multisite

Hi there,

I have a multi-site installation, and was just wondering if it was possible to have separate .htaccess files for each site? For example, if I use the Drupal admin interface to set up custom 404 pages, where do I put the custom page in the site? Do I need to create the page in Drupal (create content) and then cut/paste the link into the Settings section?

Same general question for robots.txt

I did a little digging, and found stuff on symbolic links in Apache - is that the only way?

Thanks!

Events only show up in Month View

I have the Event module installed and I've created a few events, but they only are showing up in the Month View. When you click on the day of an event, there's just a list of other views:

http://ace.actionmill.com
http://ace.actionmill.com/event/2006/03/25/day

Any idea what I might be doing wrong here?

Controlling menu items with permissions

I'm having serious trouble figuring out the drupal permissions system. I run a site for a small organization with a very simple user structure:

a) general public (not authenticated)
b) paying members
c) admins
