Post installation

I've got a program which automatically creates a page, but it uses java script to run. When I cut/paste the entire html file (sans the title, html, and extra head tags) it doesn't format correctly or work correctly. I don't know if this as something to do with the head tag necessary to include the java script. Is there anyway use java script with drupal pages? I read a reference to linking to an external file that contained the script, but it was pretty cryptic to me.

Along the lines of my other questions, is there a way to keep track of the number of nodes of a specific type that have been created by a user?

I have "Book Review" node (custom from flexinode module). Is there something that I can do so that whenever a user adds a new review, it numbers it saying this is "Bob's" 25th review? Sortof a log of reviews for a given user?

I am working on a book review site. I allow users the ability to add new reviews. (A review if a FlexiNode type I built.)

What I want is for users to be able to list their 10 favorite books, from the list of all reviews that are posted.

Would the bookmark module allow me to do this?
Is this even possible at all?

i use phptemplate sytsem, and wish to know if there is a way to have a custom template for each block.

I don't want to have all the blocks in either left or right sidebar... I would like to call them anywhere in my template, each with its own template, but with all the properties features working (such as display on this page only, viewing permissions etc etc...)

okay, I'm a n00b at Drupal, guaranteed, but I thought it would not be so difficult...

I downloaded the theme titled Fancy
Upload the foldr containing the them to the themes folder on the server
Go to Administer/Themes/ and it's no there...

I also have installed some mods, just a couple, to get the feel for it. One is titled Administration on the downloads page, and it has a nice dashboard. But even though it shows up in the Admin/mods panel to activate, nothing changes in my system.

I just discovered Drupal and installed it.
I have an empty modules list. I've seen the entry about it in the Troubleshooting FAQ, but it didn't work to change PHP memory limit (neither in php.ini nor in .htaccess nor in settings.php). Didn't found any trick to fix it in the forum, so I ask for help here.
