Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

template is not loading

Hi Community,

since this morning it seems like the template is not loading anymore. Under the adress www.rosebuddys.org you can see the result. I have made no changes on the site, provider is dreamhost. I have sended a mail to support of dreamhost as well to check, if they have made changes on the server without notifying.

Many thanks for your kind help and best regards,

Michael

Sort by Rating

I've got a system where I (the admin) can rate items 1-5, 1 being the highest, 5 being the lowest. I would like to be able to sort the items on the page by the rating. How would I go about doing this?

Im using the following switch statement for the ratings.

How can I get a blank page template while keeping my current page.tpl.php?

I have a flash demo for my site, which I don't want running off of my page.tpl.php because it takes up the entire screen and I don't want all my other page elements getting loaded. Does anyone know what the solution to this is?

Thanks!

trouble with mod_rewrite

Several Questions (theme tweaks, XML, etc)

I've been reading and searching through the support forums here on and off since I first installed Drupal last summer. I've been able to solve some things I wanted setup to my taste. But there are still a few other things I can't figure out or find the answer to... Any pointers/help would be appreciated. Thanks! : )

1--I use a separate database admin (provided by my webhost) to install the mysql files that come with installing Drupal and/or modules. Do I really need to upload the mysql files that are included in folders that "are to be uploaded"?

2--Related to #1 above, what files, if any, should be removed after installation/upgrading?

3--I've tried finding this in the theme templates, but I'm not seeing where I can remove the "*name*'s blog" link/code from underneath my blog posts. Since my blog is the only one on the site, there's no need for this link.

4--I have links setup on the top header of my pages to link to my blog and gallery (as well as account/registration, etc). But I still have the navigation menu block. The only admin options I can find for this block is to tailor the menu options, but not where I can setup view/show access by role. I can only setup administer menu block by role. I would prefer for the admin role to always see this menu block, but hide it from guests and members. Is this doable?

5--Is there a way to create a dynamic (or combined) login/logout link as a primary or secondary link? For instance, right now I have two separate links for login and logout. But if I'm logged in, I still see the "login" link... I'm sure there's a better way to deal with this.

Crikey. I Can't Login post installing simplex 4.7.0 theme

Hello,
I was looking at several themes for 4.7. After installing the Simplex theme ver. 4.7.0 I decided I might want to look at another two-column theme to compare the two.

So, I clicked "logout" by accident while using the simplex theme and now there is no user login fields (username/password) on the template to allow me to login again.

If there is no "login" area present on a theme, or it disappears when you logout, then err... how do you login again?
