Post installation

I like to keep it simple.. so here goes.

I want to utilize a subscription/mailing list system in which anonymous users to the site provide their e-mail to a simple form to subscribe. Currently it appears a user has to register for an account first before they can sign up. Is this available through settings within massmailer.. or is there another mod suited for this?

I got two sites and want to make it possible for my site1-users to login at my second site. If the user changes any personal data (password, email, etc) at any of the sites o want that information syncronized with both databases. Can drupal.module handle this or should I look for a different solution? (shared tables?)

I was before (until yesterday) able to set the blocks to show in each theme indipendently. Now I set the blocks to see but I cannot decide differently for every theme.
Plus, when I was clicking on each theme tab, that theme was set on the full page to let me see the effect of the setting change. Now it doesn't happen anymore.

What happened?

Any help will be welcome.

I am trying to write some blogs a few days ahead of schedule so that while I am away they will start appearing over the next few days. The problems is they automatically go to the front page despite the date I put for "published on". Am I doing this correctly or does drupal work this way.

I just made a little blog site for a client. He wanted to be able to add images, I uploaded up the image module. Went to configure it & safari crashed. relaunched and tried to admininister delete a block. Safari crashed.

I have been able to do the admin tasks in Firefox without crashing.

I have other drupal sites where this has never happened.

I have a site with categories of content for which I restrict user access by role (e.g. anonymous users and registered users) via the taxonomy_access module. My "primary links" to these items, it seems to me, used to be hidden in 4.6 for those target pages for which the current user did not have view permission. (for example, a link to user settings or the like would be hidden for anonymous users).
