Post installation

ok im not exactly sure how to ask this question i have aske dit before and never recieved the correct answer so let me try better

www.snowboardsummit.com is my page and on it i have content all belonging to a catagory, while logged in as admin i can see the catagory tree and i can click on them and see all in that catagory.
but once i log out i lose all my catagoty features and when i click on a topic it doesnt show the catagory tree like it used to

I upgraded this thing earlier today and it screwed everything up and now I cant even log in, does anyone know what the deal is with this 4.7.0 version? I used fantastico to upgrade. From my perspective drupal really sucks but at least the old version was technically working, now I nor anyone else can even log in and the site is littered with errors, does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. My site is www.filmportal.com

I have installed the events module and working fine. I have also enable the Calendar to browse events and List of upcoming events blocks. I have also installed CCK and created a content type called Upcoming Events which is of type Event (of course).

I created an event titled 'Bowling League' which starts on 29 July 2006. That's 9 days to go. When I saved the event entry, I noticed this under the List of upcoming events block:

OK, so I've read through the handbook on customizing user profiles. Is there a way to allow users to configure their own user profiles? I've read http://drupal.org/node/35728, and that gives some really good advice on how the admin can customize all of the profiles, but it doesn't let users customize their own. Any suggestions?
