Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Can anyone point me to the img_assist html code?

img_assist is working OK for me, but when the image is inserted, it includes HTML tags that I don't want.

I don't want it to make me have the caption in strong tags.

Can anyone tell me where this code is generated and if it is possible to edit it?

letting new users pick their password - possible?

Ok - is there a way to let new users decide what their password is?

I noticed on this site - they allow it:

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Allen

Having Image problems in content

Basically I want to add images this way using the code below, using the Filtered HTML Input format.

<img src="/files/XXXX.jpg" alt="YYYYY" width="120" height="148" align="left"/>

I've added the Only local images are allowed. tag to Filtered HTML in order to make the image show, and it does show.

Insert view (viewtags) and arguments

Hi !

I just found a not very well documented feature of the insert view module. Maybe it's considered not complete by the module creator so he didn't tell about it. And maybe you already knew about it.

If you write : [view:myview=maxitem=firstargument]

'firstargument' will be user as the first argument of the view.

It's useful for multiple pages in different categories where you want to have a list of specific items at the end of every page.

Example :

Need help with image management modules

Images are giving me a problem. And I probably didn't help matters by installing so many image modules at once before figuring out which I would need (I very much was like a kid in a candy store). So, I'm looking to scrap all the modules that are unnecessary for what I need. And here's what my image needs are for my site:

Moving Drupal - database import problem

Hi,

I am working on a Drupal website and getting some problems with my actual host. Pages often load only partially and I get many errors. I think it's not Drupal problem, but I still want to check if it works better with another hosting company (a good one).
