Hi,
I have upgraded my site (test site) to drupal-4.7.3 i.e the latest version. In the core search module, I see
the boolean search working. But I still have a doubt. Please tell me if drupal-4.7.3 really supports AND functionality. I say this because the results after search, have highlighted keywords and also the AND operator is highlighted. This implies that it just searches for the and keyword. It does not perform actual AND operation.
So, I'm just kind of messing around with different themes and whatnot, and I really like Andreas 03; however, when I have it as the theme for my site, any page that content (story, blog, etc.) the page gets completely messed up and everything is out of whack. But, on pages like my account and forums, the pages are normal. I'm thinking some kind of CSS gets messed up with the addition of stories or something, but I would have no clue where to fix it. Any ideas?
I have a Drupal site with organic Group set up for me. I have created a group (as a test first). When the group is created, it also created a group book page. So far so good. Now, I'd like to create some accounts for users and create a forum. I looked through the Organic Group documentation but am still very confused. I am a designer, and therefore am not very technical. So I am finding it difficult as the documentation just tells me what I can do but not how I can do them. Maybe I am not looking hard enough. But there is no sequential instructions as to what I should to do accomplish different things.
For example, I have set that users to the group can only be by invitation, as I am setting up accounts for various people, and I want to add them to the group. The instructions I got is that I shoudl subscribe users by sending "subscribe " in the subject or body of an email to administraion @.com. The last part puzzled me. If the domain of my site is www.123.com. Am I to send this email to administration@123.com? But I don't have any email addresses link to this domain. How should I do this? Does a Drupal site automatically comes with emails? Where can I find any information on this?
Also, what's the proper way to set up the Group Handbook that's automatically created? Right now, the "Parents" is which I am sure is not right. What should it be set to?
I was just woundering if I could make a log in button so that when you log in it says, "Welcome back (name of user)! (Log out link)." Have a look at my website (www.holmesey.com) and up the top right hand corner I have a button that says Log In. When someone log in, can I make that say "Welcome back (name of user)! (Log out link)."????
A hack of the event.module that would reduce the calendar headings from "Sun" to "S", "Mon" to "M" and so on was listed in http://drupal.org/node/15107#comment-156683 ... but was listed for an earlier version of Drupal. I'm very much a coding neophyte, so can someone point out how to do this in 4.7.3?
It was only after I posted to that old topic that I realized the headline listed version 4.5.1, so I posted this as a new topic.
