Post installation

I'm still struggling up the steep learning slope with Drupal but really glad I made the decision to use it above the alternatives. It's also given me the prod I needed to move from ASP to PHP.

Hi,

I am quite new to Drupal.
I want to have a section of my site with a form of directory where users can themselves suggest websites like here: http://www.myuganda.co.ug/biz/ (eg. using such a submission form: http://www.myuganda.co.ug/biz/add.new.info.php) under different categories and be able to edit them if necessary.
I also want visitors to contribute something like recipes, but using a standard form with these being classified under different categories, like "Cakes", "Bread", "soups", Salads, etc....
I suppose the method is roughly similar.

Some people have suggested using "Taxonomy". The problem is I dont quite know how to use it.
Is there any module or any simplified and detailed instructions even newbies can understand and use somewhere, to make the 2?

[This is what I have tried so far:
Under Categories, I for example created a "Web Directory" Vocabulary:
Home » administer » categories
» Web Directory

Under it, I added "Terms" like "Universities", "Schools", Hospitals", ....
(Those pages are currently empty.)

After which I got stuck.
How do I proceed in case this is not totally the wrong way ;) to get users to submit say, links and other information under the different "Terms"?

Secondly, I need some help to integrate some Javascripts clocks (http://simba.90megs.com/worldclock.html , http://simba.90megs.com/worldclock2.html , http://simba.90megs.com/worldclock4.html), which have so far failed to work.

Is there a WYSIWYG editor showing all of the smileys grouped for me to pick from as I’m creating a new node or Blog entry? That would be very nice.

I would like to be able to access my drupal site with selected accounts on google. Is there solution like modul to be able to do that or do you know how to configure ldap to be able to do that

One vocabulary, 2 terms. Every node that is of term "2" is of term "1" too. How can i select nodes that are of term "1" but not term "2".

Something like:

taxonomy/term/1-2

I use the <!-- break --> tag to mark which part of my blog posts should be in the teaser.

However I've just noticed that the <!-- break --> tags are showing up in my RSS feed, which doesn't seem right to me.

Eg. http://adam.shand.net/blog/rss.xml

Is this the expected behaviour or have I configured something wrong?
