Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

User rights

Is it possible to allow users of certain role to edit/delete only _their_ nodes - not all of them?

Posting under a different "section"?

I'd imagine this is very simple and I'm just missing something.

I have 1 user, myself.

How does the content recommandation engine work?? Possible to recommend content by user-entered tags?

Hi all!

I was wondering about how the content recommandation engine works in drupal. I would like it if my users could enter a list of tags, or choose from a list of taxonomy terms and then the content recommandation engine would simply show them nodes from that taxonomy/tag....

Also I was wondering if the content recommandation engine actually crawls a page to really determine what it is about in terms of words used in the text??

pager_query

is there an example somewhere on how to use pager_query? there's no example in the api docs.

i don't know why to use it - why not use db_query_range instead?

a simple example would be really helpful

thanks!

2 newbie questions

Hello!
I have installed Drupal 4.7 today for evolution, and so far it looks good. But 2 questions came up, which I cant seem to find a good answer to.

1. What I want is that when user ADAM logs in to my Drupal-site, ADAM will se his own menu, with his own content, his own front page and so on. Same when user JOHN logs in, JOHN should see his own stuff, and not ADAMS. Is this a possible feature?

Editor... why is it so poor ?

Hi everyone,

I'm discovering drupal and it's the best CMS I've tested and I tested a lot of them (joomla, mambo, postnuke...).

I like almost everything in druppal except one thing is very disappointing me! Why the content-editor is so poor? I mean, when you create a content, you arrive on a page with a big text box and where you can choose between different input format (html, php, and another one).

Why there is not an editor like in Joomla? because it's kind of borring writing tags...
