Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

[Learning] How do Navigation/User login blocks get selectively displayed based on login status?

(...searched for 'drupal selective display of blocks' with no luck...)

How do themes/modules/block admin selectively display it's block based on the user login status.

E.g. In a basic configuration you get a user login/navigation block depending on the logged in status.
User not logged in - only 'User login' block is displayed
User logged in - only 'Navigation' block is displayed

In adminster/blocks both 'user login' and 'navigation' are enabled in left sidebar.

Editing $links - Swamping 'Read More' position

Under my nodes I have the followling left aligned

Read More | add new comment

How can I make it right aligned and more importantly move 'read more' to the rightmost position so it is obvious to the end user where to click to read the full node.

publish content from-until a certain date?

Hello,
I am working on 2 sections ("news" and "projects") that have content that should be published for a limited time based on what the user has chosen as start and end publishing date) and then go into an archive page.

What is the best way to do this? By using views? Flexinodes with customised queries? Or something else?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Carlo

Share files with users, such as docs, pdfs.

I am sure it is possible to do this, but i dont know where to start:
I would like the administrator of the site to share files to a user, so when the person logs in to his account, he can view the file. Nobody else can see it, but the current member.
Same goes to other members. Each user will have a page where to go and check for files sent by the admin.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
