Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Multilingual Block Cannot Appear at Frontpage <front>

Hi,

I've just add a multilingual (2 languages) block into my website. It doesn't appear in the frontpage but It appear in other pages.

Here's some useful information.

- Show block on specific pages
I tick 'Show on only the listed pages' with the following entries:

en/about
en/contact
fr/about
fr/contact
It appears in en/about, en/contact, fr/about, and fr/contact. But it didn't show in the homepage

- Block collapse behavior: Collapsible, expanded by default.

My questions are:

Strange Node Behavior Resulting in "Page Not Found", Please Read

Running 4.7.3 w/ PHP 4.3.11 and MySQL 4.0.25-standard on LunarPages. I've disabled all modules except 'menu', 'page', and 'story'.

I've got an installation of Drupal 4.7.3 at the base of my public_html directory as well as within a number of subdirectories (accessed as subdomains via an .htaccess RedirectMatch operator).

The problem is very simple yet completely baffling.

If I create a new story at either example.com or sub.example.com with the following text, it sends me to Page Not Found (actual message is "403.shtml not found."). All data entry is happening as user=1, fwiw.

Ma quande lingues coalesce, li grammatica del resultant lingue es plu simplic e regulari quam ti del coalescent lingues. Li nov lingua franca va esser plu simplic e regulari quam li existent Europan lingues. It va esser tam simplic quam Occidental: in fact, it va esser Occidental. A un Angleso it va semblar un simplificat Angles, quam un skeptic Cambridge amico dit me que Occidental es.

Node awareness

If I have multiple blocks presenting different nodes, is there any way one block is aware what is in another?

I want to have content in one block switching depending on what is shown on the main page.

The details:
Right hand block controlled by views module and has 2 items in it, I want to be able to present item 1, or item 2 depending on what is shown in main content block.

Moderating a Node

Looking for a module -- or for the place within core, where I can simply moderate a story node -- that is, allow users to create content, but content does not get published without approval of admin.

Seems like this must be in core, but I'm not finding it.

Thanks for the help.

CSS and Mac computer

I have a User who says she doesn't see the columns. Needless to say, she finds it impossible to use the site without the navigation menus aligned properly. She is using a Mac to view the site and I am using the CivicSpace stylesheet.

What can I do to help her? Or, what does she need to do?

One person suggested to her to update her JAVA program. Would that cause such a problem?

external SMTP server?

Installed modules via the the CivicSpace auto-installer. I am having trouble with many of the modules using an email function. My webhost, thinkhost.com, asked something I don't know how to answer.

Can you please elaborate why you need to use an external SMTP server instead of ours? If you want to send
e-mails from our server, you need to use the php mail() function.

Is there a setting in Drupal for whatever they are talking about? How do I answer their question?
