Post installation

I guess it is almost an embarassing question, however I ma new to drupal. I have been using texpattern so far and in the admin there was a tab for "view page". I have installed Drupal successfully, however the index.php file, which normally is the output page has all the admin links and modules, so the question is where is the output page?

after reload and clearing the cache nothing changes...

is it possible in drupal 4.7 to change the path where imagecache stores the pictures? for example to rename the default folder "imagecache" to "images"?

Activeselect is working perfectly in Firefox and Opera but fails uder Internet Explorer (6.0) - instead of a list with dependent terms it displays a list with blank lines (no words shown).
I tried playing with Internet options in IE but nothing helped. The nice blue circle indicating that a list is populated doesn't appears either.
Please help, where is the problem?
