I downloaded Drupal and installed it on my XAMPP (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) based Windows XP web server running PHP 5.1.6 and MySQL 5.0.24a. I am very impressed with the program, and got a decent site up and running after playing around with it for a little while.
I own a virtual private server running Fedora Core 4 (with simiar PHP and MySQL versions, that is, PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x) and followed these steps to transfer the site from my local machine to the "live" server:
I'm having problems with Acidfree and filemanager under 4.7 - Somehow, somewhere, it was told to force private approximately half of my Acidfree content, which is now showing up as broken images in IE or text links (which are broken) in Firefox. I am using node_privacy_byrole as my node access module.
I thought I had been very careful to not change any 'force private' settings because I have read about the badness which ensuses if you change these settings with an existing filestore, but after extensive reading and forum searching it seems that it must have happened somehow.
when you check the box to put a node on the front page...how long do the teasers stay up there? i'm guessing until a certain amount is reached on the front page? if that is true, how many? and is there a way to set it to a certain amount?
I am trying to create a simple moderation system, I have it currently set that when somebody submits to a custom node, it initially adds no follow tags through an input filter, what I want to do is create a method for moderators to change the no follow links to full links, was it had been vetted.
Any body have any suggestions how to go about this?
Thanks for the wonderful script. It is well thought and superbly executed.
Great work done !
In IE 6 the chat area remains blank, that is,typed messages cannot be seen.
Theres an "error on page" in the browser status bar
and gives something like this :
Line 7
Char 3
Error:`chatroom` is undefined
Code:0
Have you been able to see / reproduce this error in IE or is IE 6 working ok for you?
