Drupal 6.15 is the latest version available to me in the UK. Why?

I have just installed Drupal 6.15. Although that is the latest version available to me, I have been watching a video tutorial on Lynda.com, by Tom Geller, who is using Drupal 6.3. I would be grateful if someone could explain this anomaly.

Automatic modules update

Hi, i have come up with idea about advanced automatic upgrade of drupal (core + modules).

Basic functionality would be that drupal installation would have module what is telling server (cloud, just to sound sexy) what versions you have from core and modules and what kind of custom scripts/mods you have made to modules. This could be timed by cron.

Next the server processes that information, figure outs best modules to upgrade (maybe it can even give you back new version of module with your custom functions within it) and gives you packages back to update.

Can Drush be used to upgrade the Drupal core?

Also, is it possible to start using Drush with an existing Drupal installation, or do you need to set up the site using Drush at the beginning?

how to create/view/edit events within a group just like og_forums

how to add an event within a group. the functionality of og_forums and og_events is different. by using og_forums we can create/edit forums within our groups. this is not the case with og_events. for creating an event to the group we have to change the content type of event and create an event under create content.
Is there any other way ?? any module available for creating/editing/viewing events of groups in a seperate tab(along with view, forums, edit)

Thank you.

Myisam tables become read-only

Hi ,

I was upgrading my (test) site from Drupal 5.7 to Drupal 6.10 according to the guidance. After running the update.php script (just on core modules since I disabled all the contributed modules), I got the following error message for these tables which are Myisam ( I have also InnoDB tables that didn’t' get these message but, on the other hand' there are additional Myisam tables that didn't produce this error message). Any idea?

Many thanks!!! Miriam.

users transfer?

Guys

I been maintaining a Drupal 5.x site for almost 2 years now and have recently designed a replacement for the old site using drupal 6.x

my question is, whats the best way to transfer all my user accounts from my old Drupal 5 site to my new Drupal 6 site.

Is it safe to simply import the Users table using SQL?
Is there a way of exporting users and then importing them into the new site?
