I see a lot of posts about the troubles that people have had trying to do the upgrade to 6.16.
I had a complete crash of my installation when I tried to upgrade, and I've seen many other issues from small to big related to this upgrade.
After browsing through this site I found the usage statistics and realized that there are many people who don't even bother with upgrading their sites which makes sense if they want to avoid some of the issues in this forum.
I recently upgraded from 6.15 6o 6.16 and have lost all ability to change or display default favicon. I rebuilt same site from database site on different server and am having the same problem. I've cleared site cache and browser cache about 50 times, and used 5 different computers to test using IE/FF and chrome.
I'm sort-of new to drupal...Not sure if anybody feels the same as me.. I only have one drupal site at the moment, but it feels like I have to upgrade every single week. and it takes such a long time.. What if i had 5/10 drupal sites? And, it's not only the drupal security updates, but also the modules and theme updates?
Is there ANY way to go around this?
Please lemme know. This really consumes alot of my time.?
I´m making a blog using Drupal and I´m doing some fast progress.
I got a problem though, a pretty big one, when I want to use a picture in a blog entry, I have to type in the "URL" of the picture.
Problem is that the picture does not have a URL yet, it´s on my computers harddrive! Since I´m using a localhost I guess that path would work for now, but not when the blog is on a real webserver.
