Upgrading Drupal

Has anyone actually been able to pull this off? Upgrade a production site from Drupal 6.x to Drupal 7.x without any hitches? Or is this whole process still being ironed out?

I tried it on one of 8 different sites that I have to do and even after following the UPGRADE.TXT file closely, I failed miserably. Error after error after error : (

To make matters worse, once I gave up and restored the site, now it's full of errors that didnt exist before because the upgrade process left all sorts of tables in the database that 6.22 doesnt recognize.

After updating to 6.21 (security reasons), the drupal instance goes slowly. I get a lot of "page not found" errors on logs.

Any ideas?

i've noticed some strange problems in my site after upgrading drupal 7.0 to 7.2.
The whole process went smoothly, site was running as always, but when I tried to install any module, the site was fall'n within the circle.

In the address bar in browser appears some weird suffixes like example.com/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl/pl[...]/pl - which continues indefinitely...

Firefox and other internet browsers returns the error that site is unavailable because occurs too long string in the address or something like that.

Problem is that I almost succesfully updated drupal 6.19 to 6.22 but something goes wrong... Every content, blocks and navigation buttons is gone!

I mean these are there but now I have to start over to example put blocks into their places... that's not big deal but how about navigation bar? I had lot's of navigation links >.<

After all I mean .... I have to rebuild my sites because of little update, is this how it is done?

What I did wrong?

I did the upgrade from 6.20 to 6.22 and got an server 500 error. I can't get back to the screen to put the site back online. I have a backup of the files but no backup of the database. Can this be fixed or do I need to start over?
Note: I have tried repeatly to make a backup without any success.

I have a problem with Core Update 7 to 7.2.
I have read the uppgrade.txt . did every Steps. after update.php everything ok and no error displaying.

the site is still in maintenance mode. Unfortunately I can't Login.
tried with daomain.com/?q=user
the LogIn site appears, but after typ user and pass, i get white screen.
the memory_limit.... can not cause that, because heigh enough.
I deleted all caches in my browser too. but no changes.
