Upgrading Drupal

I had drupal 7 installed and wanted to upgrade to the latest 7.14.

before the update I noticed that internationalization needed updating. I updated this and it broke my site

Hi all,
I have a serious issue with my website. It is loading toooooooo slow. I guess the reason is that my background image and logo image etc take too much bandwidth. I am not really sure. Can anyone help me out please? Is this server problem or is my design's problem?

I need help in views. I created one content type books. I created one field for term reference in that content type. That vacobulary name is "catagory of books". I need to display books name and book auther name with contextual filter node Id. And also I need to filter with term also("catagory of books").

For Ex, If the node/1 has taxanomy term technical books, display all technical books name in that path node/1.

Do you have any idea? Please help me.

I'm quite new to drupal and I have the mission to migrate all the data from a drupal 6 to drupal 7.

I've done some researches on that and found that I could export the data with node export and then import them on the new site with feeds. I've then installed node export on our D6 and I've started to export the nodes from the news content type. The problem is that now I have a CSV file with 165 columns where I have less than 20 fields in this content type.

I just installed Drupal for the first time on two web sites a few months ago using the book _Drupal For Dummies_. (No, this is not part of my day job.)

I have two sites with Drupal 7.12 that I need to upgrade to 7.14.

I understand that before I upgrade a Drupal site, I need to back up its database first. Where can I find a good procedure for this? I'm having difficulty matching up the procedure for the phpMyAdmin interface in _Drupal For Dummies_ to the screens I see on my actual Drupal web sites.
