Upgrading Drupal

I would like to fix the two security problems the latest release just fixed without doing a complete upgrade. The patches say how to do that in the case of a 4.6.1 installation and a 4.5.3 installation. How about a 4.6.0 installation? Does the patch to the 4.6.1 modules also work with the 4.6.0 modules?

I'm having difficulty getting the MySQL full text search option portion of the trip search module working correctly. The Basic and Regular expressions search types work exactly as expected.

There are three different Drupal installations each with their own database. Two of the installations were upgraded from 4.5 the other is a new installation with a new database. All three are having the same issues and the issues also occur with the admin user (with the exception of one issue).

The trip_search module did work prior to 4.6 and I've tried the cvs version.

I have two sites that I have upgraded from 4.6.0 to 4.6.1 and am having the same problem on both. I have node_prvacy_byrole.module enabled on both sites and when anonymous users try to access private content they receive a “Page not found” message instead of “Access denied”.

What does that can mean?

I Moved Drupal install from a dir to the root, now...everythign looks and works fine, but in administer section, i cant save anything or make any changes! users cant register and i cant create content or blocks!

anything that has a little grey save or submit button brings up a message saying "the URL is not valid and cannot be loaded" in firefox and nothing happens when i click in IE.

please someone help me out.

i've installed drupal on my win2k3 server running:

drupal 4.6.0
now upgraded to 4.6.1 (but have same issues)

php.4.3.11
mysql 4.latest

setup goes well, and i've customized it for my reqs.
installed many modules. and all are working fine on this configuration.

now i've purchased a paid linux hosting running:

php 4.3.11
mysql 4.somthing, (there are no db issues with my prob)
apache

because i've setup my drupal installation on win2k3, i've not enabled clean urls, and its not necessary for me.

i've uploaded the current installed drupal to my new hosting, dumped db from win2k3 mysql to new hosting mysql. on the first run it worked.

now i'm having following errors, which are stupid, because i belive that mysql, php and overall drupal should run better on linux. but in my case its running well on win2k3 not on linux :|

i am facing these probs with drupal running on my linux hosting:

1) i'm logged in as admin(used/1), i goto diffirent admin sections on my drupal site and do delete action. when i goto drupal log, i see following messages:
